The Orleans Planning Board is pleased to hold a public hearing concerning Orleans 2050, the new draft Comprehensive Plan. The plan contains goals and objectives for the many issue areas that concern the Town and its residents in preparing for a prosperous future. Among the significant issues are protecting the environment, addressing housing needs, the local economy, and continuing to offer exemplary public services to the community.

Pursuant to the provisions of Town of Orleans Home Rule Charter, Section 9, the Orleans Planning Board will hold a public hearing on March 10, 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Orleans Town Hall.
The purpose of the hearing is to accept public comments on the proposed 2025 Orleans Comprehensive Plan. The plan was developed over a 3-year period with extensive public input and is intended to guide future decisions to realize the vision for the community. Written comments may be submitted to the Planning Board at 19 School Road, Orleans, MA 02653 or by emailing the Planning Board at gmeservey@town.orleans.ma.us.
