Public Records Request

Effective January 1, 2017, the Massachusetts Public Records Law, Chapter 66 and Chapter 4, Section 7(26) provides that a municipality must, within 10 business days, respond to a request for records by providing access or copy of such records, or explain any delay or denial. You may also submit a request in person, by email, by regular mail etc. Requests are encouraged to be in writing. Please note that all requests will be tracked through the online system. You may be contacted for clarification. Fees of $25/hour may be charged for copying, scanning or compiling information and copies are $.05 per page. 

Each Department Manager within the town is designated as a Records Access Officer, with the Town Clerk acting as the "super" Records Access Officer.
